Chapter I · From Kate
I’ll admit it. I love to be the first to discover something truly special.
The pieces I treasure most are never the obvious choices. They’re the discoveries you almost want to keep to yourself.
When Caron Bluestone, founder of Caravan of Stones, invited me to create a capsule collection inspired by the Color Seasons, I was captivated. I had never seen anything quite like her bracelets: four, five, even seven carats of natural diamonds, set on colorful, handcrafted thread. Serious diamonds, worn as casually as a friendship bracelet. Color and diamonds. What could be better?
It felt like destiny…
Jewelry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family has been in the business for decades, and I grew up believing that fine jewelry is meant to be lived in—worn and enjoyed, never saved for a special occasion. Color came to me just as early: as a little girl, I watched my mother, a “Pink Cadillac Driving” Mary Kay lady, help her clients find their best colors using the Four Season system.

Your best color is deeply personal.
Your best colors aren’t arbitrary. They are rooted in the particular combination of features that makes you you.
Today, as a Seasonal Color Analyst trained in both the 12- and 16-season systems, I look closely at the characteristics that make each person one of a kind:
- 01Skin undertone
- 02Skin luminosity
- 03Depth & lightness
- 04Natural hair color
- 05Eye color
- 06Eye pattern
- 07Overall contrast
- 08How all of the features respond to color
Together, they reveal a person’s specific season—and, within it, her power colors: the shades that make her skin glow and her eyes brighten. When she wears them, she looks like the best version of herself—and she knows it.
I love the idea of translating that into these bracelets. If color can be such a personal expression of who you are, what could be more personal than wearing one of your power colors combined with sparkly diamonds every day?
